@kapa.ai If i am running abctl and am doing a abctl local instlal to upgrade my version. Does this wipe all my password references? ( i am using azure key vault)

Running
abctl local install
to upgrade Airbyte does not wipe your data or passwords by default. The
uninstall
command (without
--persisted
) is what stops containers while keeping data, and only
uninstall --persisted
removes all data. However, regarding your specific concern about Azure Key Vault integration, the knowledge sources do contain an important warning: > "Modifying the configuration of connector secret storage will cause all existing connectors to fail. You will need to recreate these connectors to ensure they are reading from the appropriate secret store." [Secret Management] This warning applies when you change the secrets manager configuration. If your
values.yaml
already has Azure Key Vault configured and you're simply upgrading (not changing the secrets manager config), your connectors should continue to work. To be safe during an upgrade, make sure you pass your existing
values.yaml
(with your Azure Key Vault config) and any relevant secrets file to the install command:
abctl local install --values values.yaml --secret secret.yaml
[abctl reference] The knowledge sources do not explicitly confirm whether an upgrade via
abctl local install
preserves the Azure Key Vault secret references end-to-end without any side effects, so if you have concerns, I'd recommend backing up your configuration before upgrading and verifying your connectors after the upgrade completes. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button â„šī¸ Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
