@kapa.ai how can I rotate the Aibyte user password, I don't see an option in the UI. Our Airbyte is deployed in a K8s cluster via Helm

For a Helm-based Kubernetes deployment, you can rotate the Airbyte password by supplying a new value via a Kubernetes Secret. Here's how: 1. Create a
secret.yaml
file
with your new password:
apiVersion: v1
kind: Secret
metadata:
  name: airbyte-auth-secrets
type: Opaque
stringData:
  instance-admin-password: YourNewStrongPassword
2. Apply the secret to your cluster:
kubectl apply -f secret.yaml -n <YOUR_NAMESPACE>
3. Restart the
airbyte-server
pod
for the changes to take effect. To verify your current credentials, you can retrieve the existing secret:
kubectl get secret airbyte-auth-secrets -n <YOUR_NAMESPACE> -o yaml
The values are base64-encoded. To decode the password:
echo '<base64-encoded-value>' | base64 -d
[Authentication docs] > Note: There is currently no password rotation option in the Airbyte UI — the Kubernetes Secret approach is the supported method for Helm deployments. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button â„šī¸ Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
