04/14/2026, 6:47 AMairbyte-2.0.19 reported that after successfully running "Upgrade all", the UI then suggested "updates" that were actually downgrades (e.g., current version 0.0.18 → suggested "update" 0.0.17). This affected 225+ sources and was identified as a bug in the version comparison logic. The Airbyte team escalated it for investigation and advised: do not accept the suggested "update" to avoid an unintended downgrade. [downgrade suggestion bug]
There is also a separate confirmed bug in versions 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 where Docker connector version updates failed to persist, which was fixed in a subsequent release. [connector update bug] Recommendations 1. Do not accept the suggested "downgrade" shown in the UI, as it would revert your connector to an older version.
2. Upgrade your Airbyte platform to the latest available version, as these bugs appear to have been addressed in newer releases.
3. If you need to manually set a specific connector version in the meantime, you can pin a version via:
◦ Workspace settings > Sources/Destinations → Edit the connector → Set the Default Version. [pin version]
1. Consider reporting your specific case on the Airbyte GitHub or community forum with logs and connector details to help the team investigate further. 👍 0 button 👎 0 button ℹ️ Tip: Mention @kapa.ai in the thread for follow-ups or DM the app for 1-to-1 help.
