is there an updated ETA on the conversion of the existing Mongo connector to Java?
u
@s there is a ETA for the current work?
u
@Jeff Crooks running behind schedule due to putting out some platform bugs. @Iryna Kruk is resuming work on it this week and we should have something hopefully by next week. Iryna if that timeline sounds off let me know!
n
@s yes, you're right, let's expect MongoDb java connector available early next week.
u
@Iryna Kruk Any update here? Thanks!
m
Hi @Jeff Crooks, sorry it takes longer than expected, I've discovered some uncovered cases during testing. The task is expected to be send to the Airbyte review tomorrow, so please expect it to be ready Monday-Tuesday next week. I'll let you know once it is ready. One more time, sorry for the inconveniences.
u
no worries, thx for the update!
u
@Iryna Kruk is there like a super-secret way I can pull the new source in before merge for testing?
u
Not yet Jeff 😞
u
any updates that can be shared? 🙂
u
not yet 😞
u
you're going to be the beta tester Jeff!
p
Any idea when that will be?
u
I don't see the pending PR anymore...
u
Hi Jeff, sorry for a long response, I had couple of days off last week. I’m working on last changes for internal review, as there was issue with tests, and going to send it for the Airbyte review today. I expect to have the connector as soon as possible this week. One more time, sorry for the inconveniences, I’ll keep you informed once it’s ready.
m
@Iryna Kruk Any updates?
u
Hi @Jeff Crooks, Working on Airbyte code review comments, once PR will be approved, I’ll merge it and let you know.
u
@Iryna Kruk Apologies to keep bothering you - are there any updates?
p
@Jeff Crooks it’ll probably be a couple of days before it’s released on dockerhub but you could play around with it locally here if you like: https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/pull/5530
u
is there any way to get it into my existing implementation before on dockerhub?
u
yes
u
see the README of the module, building via gradle should create the docker image with the
dev
tag
