10/31/2023, 11:31 AMspec.json of a connector in Airbyte, you need to follow these steps: 1. Locate the spec.json file for the connector you want to update. This file is usually located in the airbyte-integrations/connectors/<connector-name>/src/main/resources/ directory of your local Airbyte repository. 2. Update the spec.json file as per your requirements. The spec.json file contains the specification for the connector and is written in JsonSchema. You can check out the JsonSchema documentation [here](https://json-schema.org/) to understand the syntax. Here's an [example](https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/blob/master/airbyte-integrations/connectors/destination-postgres/src/main/resources/spec.json) of what the spec.json looks like for the postgres destination. 3. After updating the spec.json file, you need to build the connector image. You can do this by running the following command in your local airbyte repository: bash docker build ./airbyte-integrations/connectors/<connector-name> -t airbyte/<connector-name>:dev 4. The connector image is tagged with dev. You can change this to use another tag if you'd like. 5. Now, you need to update the version number to use your docker image tag (default is dev) in the Airbyte UI. To do this, visit <http://localhost:8000/> in your browser, log in with the default user airbyte and default password password, go to Settings (gear icon in lower left corner), go to Sources or Destinations (depending on which connector you are testing), update the version number to use your docker image tag, and click Change to save the changes. 6. Now when you run a sync with that connector, it will use your local docker image. For more details, you can refer to the [Airbyte documentation](https://docs.airbyte.com/contributing-to-airbyte/resources/developing-locally). Please note that the Configuration API caches connector specifications. If you update the specification of a connector and need to clear this cache so the API / UI picks up the change, you can either go to the Admin page in the UI and update the version of the connector or restart the server from your local airbyte-platform repository by running the following commands: bash VERSION=dev docker compose down -v VERSION=dev docker compose up [Source](https://docs.airbyte.com/contributing-to-airbyte/resources/developing-locally)
