Hi@kapa.ai I couldn’t get any workspaces exploring docker volumes/logs. Could I query API in self-hosted context? E.g
localhost:8001/api/v1/workspaces
gives
object not found
- is this wrong

Based on the information provided in the extracts, it seems like you're trying to explore the workspace folders in Airbyte and having trouble with it. Here are some steps you can follow to explore the workspace folders: 1. Identifying Workspace IDs: When running a Sync in Airbyte, you can look at the logs in the UI. The highlighted blue boxes show the id numbers that were used for the selected "Attempt" for this sync job. For example, if the job was running in
/tmp/workspace/9/2/
folder, the third attempt is being selected in the UI (first attempt would be
/tmp/workspace/9/0/
). [source](https://docs.airbyte.com/operator-guides/browsing-output-logs) 2. Exploring the Logs folders: You can explore the workspace folders to gain a better understanding of what is being run by Airbyte. For example, you can extract the
catalog.json
file from the docker volume or open a Unix shell prompt to browse the Docker volume. [source](https://docs.airbyte.com/operator-guides/browsing-output-logs) 3. Browsing from the host shell: If you don't want to transfer to a shell prompt inside the docker image, you can simply run Shell commands using docker commands as a proxy. For example:
bash docker run -it --rm --volume airbyte_workspace:/data busybox ls /data/9/2
[source](https://docs.airbyte.com/operator-guides/browsing-output-logs) As for querying the API in a self-hosted context, the extracts do not provide information on how to do this. However, it's worth noting that a user in the forum had a similar issue where they were getting a 404 response when trying to access the API. The issue was resolved when they realized they were using the wrong connection id. [source](https://discuss.airbyte.io/t/2980) If you're still having trouble, I would recommend checking the [Airbyte documentation](https://docs.airbyte.com) or asking for help in the [Airbyte forum](https://discuss.airbyte.io).

Thank you @kapa.ai - I have a connection whose sync that never ends - E.g. woocommerce order note. This may be due to size of data. I am trying to make a new connection with similar parameters, except trying to enable pagination/partition for this new connection. Is this possible in the AIrbyte UI (selfhosted)

Yes, it is possible to enable pagination for your new connection in the Airbyte UI. Pagination is a mechanism used by APIs to split data into "pages" when returning results, so that the entire response data doesn't need to be returned all at once. This can be particularly useful when dealing with large amounts of data. Here are the steps to enable pagination: 1. In the Connector Builder, there is a Pagination section which implements the most common pagination methods used by APIs. When enabled, the connector will use the pagination configuration you have provided to request consecutive pages of data from the API until there are no more pages to fetch. [source](https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/connector-builder-ui/pagination/) 2. Check the documentation of the API you want to integrate to find which type of pagination it uses. Many API docs have a "Pagination" or "Paging" section that describes this. [source](https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/connector-builder-ui/pagination/) 3. The following pagination mechanisms are supported in the connector builder: - Offset Increment - Page Increment - Cursor Pagination Select the matching pagination method for your API and check the sections below for more information about individual methods. [source](https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/connector-builder-ui/pagination/) If none of these pagination methods work for your API, you will need to use the low-code CDK or Python CDK instead. [source](https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/connector-builder-ui/pagination/) For partitioning, there are three possible sources for the partitions that need to be queried - the connector itself, supplied by the end user when configuring a Source based on the connector, or the API provides the list of partitions on another endpoint. [source](https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/connector-builder-ui/partitioning/) To configure static partitioning, choose the "List" method for the partition router. The "partition values" can either be set to a list of strings, making the partitions part of the connector itself or delegated to a user input so the end user configuring a Source based on the connector can control which partitions to fetch. [source](https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/connector-builder-ui/partitioning/) I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
