Hi @kapa.ai I’m noticing a slight difference between my “reach” in meta ads stream “ads_insights_platform_and_device” and the reach reported by the meta ad manager

Hmm, I don't know enough to give you a confident answer yet. However, it's important to note that data discrepancies can occur due to various reasons such as data processing delays, API limitations, or differences in how platforms calculate certain metrics. For more detailed information, you might want to check the documentation for the specific source you are using. Here are some links to the documentation for [Facebook Marketing](https://docs.airbyte.com/integrations/sources/facebook-marketing) and [Google Ads](https://docs.airbyte.com/integrations/sources/google-ads) as examples. If you continue to experience issues, I recommend reaching out to the Airbyte community on [Slack](https://airbytehq.slack.com) or [creating an issue](https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/issues) on GitHub.

@kapa.ai I’m thinking it might be because of lookback window settings. My sync is set to 28 days but Meta seems to have changed their lookback window settings to no longer allow for that

Yes, you're correct. The lookback window settings can indeed affect the data you're seeing. In Airbyte, the Facebook Marketing connector uses the
lookback_window
parameter to repeatedly read data from the last
lookback_window
days during an Incremental sync. This means some data will be synced twice (or possibly more often) despite the cursor value being up to date, in order to capture updated ads conversion data from Facebook. If Meta has changed their lookback window settings, it could indeed affect the data you're seeing. You can change this date window by adjusting the
lookback_window
parameter when setting up the source, up to a maximum of 28 days. Smaller values will result in fewer duplicates, while larger values provide more accurate results. For a deeper understanding of the purpose and role of the attribution window, refer to this [Meta article](https://www.facebook.com/business/help/458681590974355?id=768381033531365). If you continue to experience discrepancies, it might be worth reaching out to Meta's support for clarification on their current lookback window settings. @kapa.ai meta says it’s moved from 28d attribution to 1 day attribution. Could this impact our reporting in any way? I’m seeing a very small difference between the meta dashboard and the data I receive from airbyte

Yes, the change from 28-day attribution to 1-day attribution by Meta could potentially impact your reporting. The attribution window determines the period of time after an ad interaction during which a conversion, such as a purchase, is recorded in Meta Ads Manager. In Airbyte, the Facebook Marketing connector uses the
lookback_window
parameter to repeatedly read data from the last
lookback_window
days during an Incremental sync. This is done to capture updated ads conversion data from Facebook. If Meta has reduced the attribution window to 1 day, it means that only the conversions that happen within 1 day of an ad interaction will be attributed to the ad. This change could lead to a decrease in the number of conversions reported in Meta Ads Manager, which could explain the small difference you're seeing between the Meta dashboard and the data you receive from Airbyte. To align your Airbyte setup with Meta's changes, you could consider adjusting the
lookback_window
parameter in your Facebook Marketing source settings to 1 day. This would mean that Airbyte will only re-export data from the past day, capturing any changes made in the last 24 hours.
