Hey, does anyone worked on dockerizing airbyte and using it on a vm? Having troubles in dockerizing the airbyte. Or is there a public inage available to use directly ? My main goal is to execute airbyte using docker.

Yes, Airbyte can be deployed on a virtual machine using Docker. Here are the general steps you need to follow: 1. Install Docker and Docker Compose on your VM. The installation commands can vary depending on the VM's operating system. For example, on an Oracle Cloud VM, you would use the following commands to install Docker:
Copy code
bash sudo yum update -y sudo yum install -y docker sudo service docker start sudo usermod -a -G docker $USER
And these commands to install Docker Compose:
Copy code
bash sudo yum install -y docker-compose-plugin docker compose version
(Source: [Deploy Airbyte on Oracle Cloud](https://docs.airbyte.com/deploying-airbyte/on-oci-vm)) 2. Download the Airbyte repository and deploy it on the VM. Here's how you can do it on an Oracle Cloud VM:
Copy code
bash mkdir airbyte && cd airbyte   wget <https://raw.githubusercontent.com/airbytehq/airbyte/master/run-ab-platform.sh>   chmod +x run-ab-platform.sh -b   ./run-ab-platform.sh -b
(Source: [Deploy Airbyte on Oracle Cloud](https://docs.airbyte.com/deploying-airbyte/on-oci-vm)) 3. Access the Airbyte interface by visiting
<http://localhost:8000/>
on your browser. Please note that the exact commands can vary depending on the VM's operating system and the cloud provider. You can find more detailed instructions for different environments in the [Airbyte documentation](https://docs.airbyte.com/deploying-airbyte/). Regarding your question about a public image, Airbyte is packaged into several Docker containers, and these images are publicly available on Docker Hub under the [Airbyte repository](https://hub.docker.com/u/airbyte). However, you typically don't need to pull these images manually, as the Docker Compose commands used to deploy Airbyte will automatically pull the necessary images.

My use case is bit different. Dockerize airbyte means whole setup. Dont want to run any command on vm. Just wanted to pull docker nd run. Can we dockerize code mentioned in 2nd point run it via docker run ?
Want to save that dockerized code in a image repository and then pull n execute it
