you run it after you clone github.com/airbytehq/airbyte in the airbyte directory
Hi Hari, can you please share the environment details? Contents of folder where you are attempting to run the file after downloading it? What command you are. running?
h
Environment --> Windows 11 Directory c:\airbyte wsl --> docker desktop command --> bash run-ab-platform.sh
c
what is the error that you get? do you see run-ab-platform.sh in the folder where you are trying to execute?
h
c:\airbyte>bash run-ab-platform.sh
When I run this command, there is no error or nothing getting displayed
Yes, the file exists but no error message or any other message.
the contents of the folder
not sure if it could be OS, issue. I am on Windows 11 but the page says tested on Windows 10, macos
c
does
Copy code
./run-ab-platform.sh
give any different result?
please also try
Copy code
bash -x run-ab-platform.sh
and see if you get any different results
h
c:\airbyte>./run-ab-platform.sh
'.' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Copy code
bash -x run-ab-platform.sh
This doesnt work too
c
it seems like you are not in the wsl environment. You get that error if you are trying to do bash stuff outside of wsl. You need to have wsl installed
wsl --install
, then you can type wsl into the command prompt or powershell, and then try executing it
once inside wsl you can navigate to the directory like this:
cd /mnt/c/airbyte
h
wsl --install, which distro need to be installed?
c
what are your options? Debian or ubuntu are probably a very safe bet.
I would probably recommend raw debian
h
at the moment, I have
* docker-desktop         Running         2
docker-desktop-data    Running         2
let me check with ubuntu22
c
ubuntu 22 is just fine if that is an option
