Hello All, trying to config via newly released terraform OSS, but running into following error -
You need to enable JavaScript to run this app
Anyone faced similar issue ?
k
Based on the information provided in the extracts, it seems like you might be encountering a browser-related issue. A similar issue was reported by a user in a [Slack conversation](https://airbytehq.slack.com/archives/C021JANJ6TY/p1667759933413509) where they were unable to launch Airbyte and encountered a 401 error. The user was able to resolve the issue by switching their browser from Edge to Chrome. The error message you're seeing,
You need to enable JavaScript to run this app
, typically appears when JavaScript is disabled in your web browser. Please ensure that JavaScript is enabled in your web browser settings. If you're still encountering issues, you might want to try accessing the application in a different web browser. If the issue persists, I recommend checking the [Airbyte troubleshooting guide](https://docs.airbyte.com/troubleshooting) or reaching out to the Airbyte community via their [forum](https://discuss.airbyte.io) or [Slack channel](https://airbytehq.slack.com/archives/C021JANJ6TY/). If all else fails, you can open a [Github issue](https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte/issues) for further assistance.

Thanks @kapa.ai But I am not launching the app via any browser, this is through terraform while accessing the workspace

Based on the information provided in the extracts, there isn't specific guidance on launching Airbyte via Terraform. However, there are several ways to deploy Airbyte, including on your own infrastructure, on Kubernetes, on GCP Compute Engine, on Restack, and on Plural. For instance, if you're deploying on Kubernetes, you can use the following commands:
Copy code
bash git clone <https://github.com/airbytehq/airbyte.git> cd airbyte kubectl apply -k kube/overlays/stable
To check the pod status, run
kubectl get pods | grep airbyte
. If you're deploying on GCP Compute Engine, you can use the following commands:
Copy code
bash gcloud --project=$PROJECT_ID beta compute ssh $INSTANCE_NAME   mkdir airbyte && cd airbyte   wget <https://raw.githubusercontent.com/airbytehq/airbyte/master/run-ab-platform.sh>   chmod +x run-ab-platform.sh   ./run-ab-platform.sh -b
For more specific guidance on deploying Airbyte with Terraform, you may want to refer to the official Airbyte documentation or reach out to the Airbyte community for support. @Srikanth Sudhindra I have a similar issue. Did you manage to resolve this blocker?
s
Nope
i
@Srikanth Sudhindra I managed to get terraform working by referring to the docs here and ensuring my self hosted version of Airbyte is sufficiently up to date so that the
docker-compose.yaml
file contains the airbyte-api-server.

Thanks, let me check it out.
I get the same error when I try with the locally deployed Airbyte version, the airbyte-api-server was also up and running
@Idris Osman did you do anything different? How is your Airbyte hosted ?

Fixed the issue, from the other discussions I got to know the server_url in the provider section should be pointing to the api-server. Got it working now, thanks!

@Srikanth Sudhindra how did it work? I am also getting javascript related error. Do I need to clone and run airbyte-platform repo? I am trying Powered by API local machine with OSS.
Copy code
curl --location '<http://localhost:8000/v1/connections/>' \
--header 'Authorization: Basic YWlyYnl0ZTpwYXNzd29yZA=='
