Hey @kapa.ai and folks, How to *Export your Airbyte configurations from Airbyte v*_0.40.16?_
k
Starting from Airbyte version 0.40.16, the export and import of configurations through the Airbyte UI has been removed. Instead, you are encouraged to use the Octavia CLI tool for managing your configurations. Here's how you can do it: 1. Set up the Octavia CLI environment. You can do this by creating an
.octavia
file in your home directory and adding the following environment variables:
bash OCTAVIA_ENABLE_TELEMETRY=True AIRBYTE_USERNAME=airbyte AIRBYTE_PASSWORD=password
Then, you can create an alias for the Octavia CLI Docker command:
bash alias octavia="docker run -i --rm -v \$(pwd):/home/octavia-project --network host --env-file \${OCTAVIA_ENV_FILE} --user \$(id -u):\$(id -g) airbyte/octavia-cli:0.40.18"
2. Initialize an Octavia project. You can do this by creating a new directory and running the
octavia init
command:
bash mkdir airbyte-configuration && cd airbyte-configuration octavia init
This will create folders for the source, destination, and connection resource definitions. It also creates an
api_http_headers.yaml
file. For more details, you can refer to the [Octavia CLI tutorial](https://airbyte.com/tutorials/version-control-airbyte-configurations) and the [Airbyte documentation](https://docs.airbyte.com/operator-guides/upgrading-airbyte). Please note that any secrets that you have entered into Airbyte will be in this archive, so you should treat it as a secret.
