hi - how can i duplicate s3 connector with my name and after code?

To create a custom connector based on the S3 connector, you can follow these steps: 1. First, you need to fork or clone the S3 connector from the Airbyte's GitHub repository and make your changes. This could involve renaming the connector or modifying its functionality. 2. Once you've made your changes, you need to build a Docker image of your custom connector and push it to a Docker image repository. This could be Dockerhub or any other repository that Airbyte can access. 3. After pushing the Docker image, you can add your custom connector to Airbyte. Here's how you can do it: - Go to the Airbyte UI, navigate to the Admin section, and click on
[+ New connector]
on the top right. - You will be asked for the display name, the Docker repository name (repository + image name), tag, and documentation URL for that connector. Once you've filled in these details, your custom connector will appear in the Airbyte UI and your team will be able to use it, both from the UI and Airbyte's API. Please note that when using Airbyte on Kubernetes, the repository name must be a valid Kubernetes name. That is, it must consist of lower case alphanumeric characters or '-', and must start and end with an alphanumeric character (e.g. 'my-name', or '123-abc'). Other names will work locally on Docker but cause an error on Kubernetes (Internal Server Error: Get Spec job failed). For more details, you can refer to the [Custom or New Connector](https://docs.airbyte.com/integrations/custom-connectors) section in the Airbyte documentation.

how to use the docker to build?
m
@Michael Eini I don’t understand your question. Can you describe the use case or give more context about the problem you’re trying to solve?

im trying to duplicate s3 connector ,and then to edit it to my needs. im trying it by 2 ways 1 duplicate the folder of s3 in the code and then runthe docker 2 use ur "Building a Python Destination" in options 1 - icant see it in the ui as a connector in option 2 i have problem with one command that even i will secuess i dont sure how to convert it to work as s3 connector
for me it could be better option 1
that also issue- it seems the code is java-even that i prefer python

### WARNING ###
# The Java connector Dockerfiles will soon be deprecated.
# This Dockerfile is not used to build the connector image we publish to DockerHub.
# The new logic to build the connector image is declared with Dagger here:

# If you need to add a custom logic to build your connector image, you can do it by adding a finalize_build.sh or finalize_build.py script in the connector folder.
# Please reach out to the Connectors Operations team if you have any question.

I recommend to you read https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/ all instructions you can extend to your use case of copy an existing connector.
m
yes ; and then i follow this https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/tutorials/building-a-python-destination/ this was my option2 then got the error when i tring to run it and also not sure how after template- make it as s3 connector
any idea?
