Hi guys, I just developed a new connector with the connector builder UI. Where can I find it in my code? I need to configure a proxy just for that connector (they only accept requests from inside Brazil so we need to pass a proxy to it)

The connector you developed using the connector builder UI is saved as part of the Airbyte workspace and is separate from your source configurations and connections. It's not directly accessible in your code but is part of the Airbyte's configuration. To configure a proxy for your connector, you might need to include this in the connector's configuration during its development in the connector builder UI. However, the provided extracts do not provide specific information on how to configure a proxy for a connector in Airbyte. If you want to make changes to the connector, you can iterate on it using the connector builder in the Airbyte webapp. Once you're done, you can publish the connector to the local workspace again. If you want to contribute your connector back to the Airbyte connector catalog to make it available outside of your workspace, you can export the connector specification into a file and build a docker image containing the connector which can be shared more widely. This is done by exporting the low-code YAML representation of the connector to your local filesystem into a connector module. This YAML can be downloaded by clicking the
Download Config
button in the bottom-left [source](https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/connector-builder-ui/overview). For more detailed information on how to configure a proxy for a connector, you might want to refer to the official Airbyte documentation or reach out to the Airbyte community for support.

You need to download the code in the Connector Builder
m
I can see only the YAML file, how am I able to change it to add this proxy logic?
m
I don’t think it’s possible to create proxy in low-code CDK
If you want to you can create a custom component to handle it
Is this for Airbyte Cloud or a OSS deploymnet?
m
Oh ok, is there some documentation on how to create this custom component? I need to config it just for this connector specifically
Local deployment
m
There are docs explaining how to create a generic custom component, not for your particular case though: https://docs.airbyte.com/connector-development/config-based/advanced-topics#custom-components
m
Copy code
Any built-in components can be overloaded by a custom Python class. To create a custom component, define a new class in a new file in the connector's module
Here’s the point, where’s my recently created custom connector’s module? Is that inside some folder in airbyte (local deployment) directory? Or it just don’t have one and it’s just the YAML config file?
m
One YAML config file
You can download and handle it locally as other connecotrs inside the airbyte-integration folder
m
Got it. So the UI builder do not create it automatically right?
Because I iterated through the airbyte-integrations folder and find no source-<connector name>
