environment variable is related to the automatic schema discovery feature in Airbyte. This feature is still in development, and you can track its progress on the Airbyte roadmap [here](https://app.harvestr.io/roadmap/view/pQU6gdCyc/airbyte-roadmap?p=bj4hNcr3h). Once completed, this feature should help in detecting schema changes at the start of syncs. However, as of now, the full functionality of this environment variable is not yet available.
