Hi! Where’s the best place to ask licensing questions about Activepieces? I’m finding it confusing to know what I can modify/use because some open-source code has imports from the EE code. I want to avoid using or modifying EE functionality.

Hi, an example would really be helpful in trying to understand what your problem is.

I’m evaluating Activepieces for a SaaS product I am developing and would like to clarify a few licensing questions. My architecture is: * I use only the Community/Open Source portions of Activepieces. * I am developing a custom module/piece to integrate Activepieces with my SaaS. * This module exposes functionality that my application consumes as a microfrontend. * I am not using, modifying, or distributing code from
packages/ee/
or other Enterprise directories. * I am also not using the Enterprise embedding implementation/SDK. My first question concerns embedding. Activepieces provides iframe/embedding functionality as part of its Enterprise offering. However, my implementation does not use that Enterprise code. I am building the integration independently using the open-source portions and my own custom module. Would this still be considered use of the Enterprise embedding feature, or would it be permitted under the MIT-licensed portions, assuming I do not copy, modify, or depend on Enterprise code? My second question concerns multi-user functionality. My SaaS needs to provide multiple customers with isolated Activepieces resources. I would like to implement the required multi-user/resource isolation logic myself using the open-source code. Would this be permitted under the MIT license if I: 1. Do not use Enterprise code; 2. Do not copy or modify Enterprise functionality; 3. Implement the multi-user/resource management logic independently; and 4. Use only MIT-licensed portions of Activepieces? In short, does the restriction apply to the specific Enterprise implementation/code, or does independently implementing equivalent functionality also require a commercial license? I would appreciate clarification based on the current repository structure and licensing terms. Thank you!
