Lol, our group was looking up rules in the pdf version. Someone left multiple messages saying that in US English it’s called an “epilog” rather than “epilogue”, then subsequently stated to fix it in the second printing… but the US English IS “epilogue”

Sounds like really educated people at there on language. We have so many of them in here Germany👌. We're so sophisticated in language , that we're creating own new Words, like for the mobile phone/smart phone. It's called just Handy... and most people think it is an English word, cause an y at the end of Word is an ultra rare use for a German word but more associated with English words.

My group has hit lvl 5. My daughter plays a companion and thus now has 2 ability cards (and 4 sides) to choose 1 set from. Would it hurt anything, make her overpowered, to let her play with 2 ability cards in front of her? I would like to give her more options and increase her complexity a little. I hope she'll eventually feel confident and comfortable enough to play a full character.

Don't think it would hurt anything to be honest, would give her more options and make the character more powerful in that way, but she'd still be limited by animus and whatnot so I don't think it would be too crazy

Maybe you could limit her to using just one card ability per round?

Yeah, and where I'm from a "handy" is something entirely different.

Question on common item cards: in each chapter, do you only have access to the current chapter's common items at the banksmith? can you buy items from a previous chapter?

just the same numbers you are in, except when tallying loot at the end of the encounter then it is +1

Just had a closer look in the rule book. Do you only start the encounter with animus based on regen value after refreshing? Then regen seems to be more valuable than max animus

Depends on your use of

More max means you can dish out more skills in one round, after preparing. While regen means a constant flow of skills.

Some times it's not that clear. It's also mentioned that breaking location by tile will target the closest Oathsworn as primary tafgey

I agree with you for the most part, but there is value to the max - based on the level table, you'll make that decision 3 times, and having higher regen than max is useless - If your max is equal to your regen, then in some cases you have an animus you can't use that becomes effectively wasted over rolling it over. - There are some abilities where you can pay X animus for things, so it would let you get a bigger max for X if you saved animus or used other methods to regen it. Ranger using long shot + shortbow ability could shoot across the map for huge damage with enough max animus.

@Razuhl , not sure what you mean with "after preparing"? But I didn't think about the +2 token.

@Polling11 , agree that I never meant having regen higher than max. But with f.x. warbear at 6 regen out of 9 max, I have played it wrong. That why I think regen looks more valuable than my original though

Yeah, unless you're building around it, I agree that regen is the better choice in most cases

Hi! Question on companions. When they gain a new card, do we choose 1 of the card before an encounter or they get to use both?

I had a question, when you send a runner to the bank or apothecary that doesn’t put tokens down on your time track right? In chapter one I like to pay a runner one gold to go to the apothecary and buy 5 curatives. As it’s the cheapest time to get them and the cheapest time to higher a runner I just wanted to make sure I was correct and don’t have to put a time token on the time. Track for it.

it does not. the purpose of the runner is to avoid actually moving the FC there & adding time
