Hey do you have to stay consistent to dice/cards? Like can I roll my crit on dice even if I pulled it via cards?

You can swap between them at literally any time!

You can swap for every single individual card/die.

https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/2920285/article/40663164#40663164 You need LoS and range to any part of the enemy, as I understand it. Then your damage magically goes to another location.

Encounter 6 question ||would Bait and Switch be able to look at the encounter cards in advance still? Or would they be hidden still?||

Does smoke bomb require line of site to an ally?

Good question. I’d guess not, as it’s not an attack?

Yeah like what about Challenge? Do you need LOS for it?

Just saw this card - how do I have to understand „each friendly character with a falcon on them may Move 2. Max 1 Move per character“? Are they allowed to Move 2 but have to do it in one movement, so no splitting up?

@shadesofdecay that text seems like it’s to prevent stacking two falcons on one character and giving them Move 2 twice.

Could go either way TBH. I’d also guess not?

Well, you could stack two falcons on one character, but they can only use the move ability once.

About chain attacks, the rule says: "After a Chain Attack, the attacker is placed in the closest empty hex to the final target" Does this mean I can position myself in any hex adjacent to the final target?

I'd think closest relates to an original hex (and if there's two closest, NW would apply), otherwise it'd be adjacent?
  • c

    09/20/2022, 7:31 PM
Maybe that language is in case there is no adjacent empty hex?

Since this is the player’s attack, though, I think they can choose in case of multiple options, rather than using the rule of North then West.

So in case of a large monster I can attack let's say the rear and place myself at the front?

    Can caged characters be attacked?

If you can't fully equip your party with armour and weapons when you set up during the story (or I suppose at any point during the story) is it mandatory that you have to do the petition thing to obtain items from the current deck or are you allowed to continue with some characters not fully equipped? For example could a character go into the encounter only wearing armour and having no weapons? I know in that situation it definitely wouldn't be ideal but I just want to know if you HAVE to petition for items if you can't afford to buy any. Thanks 🙂

Yup, but you can use your cards for defense
  • c

Yup, an entire monster is the target.

I dont think you have to have them all, since the early part of the game didnt even have gear.
  • k

    09/21/2022, 6:51 AM
so, the wording in the rule saying "closest empty hex" is just to tell you to place yourself adjacent to the target, right?
  • c

    Crash

    09/21/2022, 6:52 AM
    Yup, I would say so.
  • c

    Crash

    09/21/2022, 6:52 AM
Since you entire monster is considered target. Thats why you cant target multiple hexes with charge through.
