What I meant is a general "How to verify lldap is accessible with the DN Bind... settings" starter guide. Being new to LDAP as a whole I more or less copy/pasted the connection details for syncthing as given on github but that wouldn't connect. using the

CLI tool helped isolate some networking issues but it took a while to get to that. My issue was not lldap, but not knowing how to debug a connection attempt
