So lets pretend I'm an idiot and may or may not have forgotten the admin password for the lldap interface. How would said idiot go about recovering that without deleting the tree? I remember setting it all up and I have a handful of applications using my user for backing but apparently past me was not smart enough to document the credentials to get into the server lol

Disregard, big dummy figured out how to get into the server. Though that said, I am still curious if recovering the admin user is a thing that is possible with lldap

It's a bit manual, but you can delete the admin user, and it will get recreated with the config password

Of course, you'll have to re add him to any group you added him before
