Is there a way to call a select and turn it into a stream? Or altenative: Is it possible to join realtime databases in queries?

No. Realtime allows just 1 table and eq filter per stream. More complicated things require putting together payloads from multiple streams or doing a select based on a realtime response. .

Do you know if there is a comparable feature planned in the near Future? (Kind of a wrapper around select that keeps the select up to date through listening to the payloads of the used tables in the Backend)

I’ve not seen anything, but I have no inside info. I’m doing my stuff to keep a table in sync reliably here: https://github.com/supabase/supabase/discussions/5641 but that is a single table. Another approach I’ve used is to have a status table that is changed by triggers on other tables then do a select of everything based on the status table realtime stream.
