dendron takes time to index notes on first pass but caches everything subsequently. the reason you might be seeing long load times on the second round is because dendron looks for the

id

field in the note frontmatter to build the cache which is not present in the repo you pointed to. as a point of comparison, the workspace we use as a team is getting close to 50k notes and initializes in ~2s. that being said, ~2s is still too slow so we're also working on some optimization to remove subsequent load times altogether
