I think it takes a little longer to learn ;). I gave it ~6months, but eventually gave up.
My emacs takeaway:
1. Using Emacs Org-Mode, I trusted the content I created
a. Contrast that feeling with using VS Code on Windows 10, I don't put anything of "value"* in my text files.
b. I don't trust that my content isn't being telemetried-away. Especially because I use GitHub CoPilot
* "value" = big ideas, my last will and testament, my bitcoin wallet keys, etc.
2. I wish I could "live in my text editor" like I could with Emacs
a. Reading email, web browsing, writing code within my docs AND executing it are productivity hacks I miss
