On the other hand, I've seen that happen before due to power saving. My old laptop's speakers would crackle every time the something started playing, and disabling power saving solved the issue. Not sure how to do that on Windows, or if that's even the problem though.

06/10/2022, 6:21 PMI turned power saving off long ago, but I notice MS likes to decide that the way I choose to use "my" device isn't congruent with how it should be. I will check those settings again now...
