How can I get a visa application invitation letter for Umbraco Codegarden 2025?

As first-time attendees of Codegarden 2025, we're excited about the event and would appreciate any tips or guidelines to help us prepare. Are there any specific things we should know or do beforehand? Also, how can we set up meetings and connect with others?

I'd say be prepared to be out till late each evening, there is a lot of stuff around the "normal" daytime stuff If networking is your thing, there is a lot of time to connect and meet people, I don't typically set up any meetings beforehand. Everyone is generally super friendly, so whether playing Hammerschlagen with people or sitting down to eat together you'll pick up contacts. I'd also try and stick it out till the afternoon on the Friday because that's a great time to make contact with Umbraco folks winding down from all their responsibilities. Talks etc are generally very good, and the food is great. If you are into running there is a running group each morning. Or a swimming group. Or a cycling group. I think they'll be a Paddel session as well. That's a good time to get to know people.

We are organizing a first-timers session closer to the date, I believe you were asked to checkbox during ticket buying if it was your first time and that will trigger an email when we know a date for that session.

@Ketan Garala My advice is just try and enjoy yourself. The whole event is a lot of learning, chatting and socialising but take some time to yourself too. There are quiet areas where you can go if you need to just get away from it all. You're likely to be at the venue for a lot of the day so pace yourself 🙂 By Friday you'll be glad you did.

Welcome Umbracians, In case someone unable to join the event i.e had a new born, wife needs support or busy with work does that deny him from getting MVP 2025? in case that is not a problem how Umbraco presents that to him. (any nominee use case)

Hey @Tarik - in the past HQ have allowed recipients to accept the award (including benefits) the following year. AFAIK this is still the case.

And to add to @Dean Leigh, this of course also means that not being able to make it to the event does not exclude you from becoming an MVP! The in-person receival of the award is more ceremonial and an honor than a actual requirement 🙂

The hotel doesn't matter that much because you'll only be sleeping there and having some breakfast, for the rest, there is no reason to be there 😛
