I want to build an AC control unit using RPi - the part I'm missing is a case that I can just plug into my electric outlet. Anyone familiar with a kit/case that can fit for my use case?

All you want to is basically emulate the remote or some sort of expansion bay that the AC uint has that you think you can plug into?

tbh the question is how do I get a RPi mounted on the wall via the electricity socket controlling the AC is just one of the features it'll have and it's kinda straightforward

kinda on-topic, reads like an angry unintentional pitch for [the need of] mirrord https://hachyderm.io/@c0dec0dec0de/111938012823156208

the rest of the thread is an angry rant about modern architectures being too complicated to scale down to one machine. i am not sure how an mirrord ad would perceived in that context. i think it would require some careful messaging so ill leave that to you people.

    When running
    exec
I'm getting below error. I am unsure as if where mirrord is trying to write the state. Is it in the Pod or on my local system? I recently changed my Desktop to Fedora Silverblue which is an immutable desktop, which could explain the error if mirrord is trying to write to the immutable part of my filesystem.

I have a super long shot question, and I know the answer but I thought I'd throw this into the mix Mirrord is very good at providing a userland shim around runtimes, and can with some granularity intercept the syscalls the application makes - absolutely fantastic work. I was musing at work today how there's no modern cpython sandboxing, there's a non maintained pypy feature for sandboxing but for regular cpython I can't prevent file and network access from a script. I'd like to run a "bring your own scripting" service in a SaaS web app we run, because providing a function signature and return type and letting people fiddle their own python suits the needs. That being said, I was thinking how handy it'd be to run cpython with all these syscalls disabled using something like mirrord. Would be quite handy!
