I found that adding that string to their website gives you this: Derbycon.com/saRjNntkux

On this website, the bottom line is in Base64 and gives a URL of a zip file.

The top lines are MD5 encrypted. It decrypts to "FromDarknessLightRises"

I've exhausted my resources on that first puzzle. I think the YouTube video is the end of that one.

So now for the second one. In the podcast Darknet Diaries, there is a code at the end of the first seven episodes.

This link has spoilers, but nice to look at if you want to save some time getting the codes from the episodes. https://www.reddit.com/r/codes/comments/7higqs/hidden_code_in_podcast_darknet_diaries/

I dunno if you are doing a similar puzzle to the one I did, but if so and you are stuck, keep in mind it is possible to complete by just analyzing the people and accounts delivering the clues (ie 100% social engineering is a valid strategy, though its far from optimal). Best advice I can give is to think of it as a path lined with pebbles, some of which are noticeably different from the other pebbles. When you find such a shiny pebble, put it in your pocket -- eventually it will make sense why, when you find another pebble that connects with it.

If you get good at DFIR, I need halp. Got a weird ass process mystery on my machine and like I mentioned, I went the 100% social engineering route cause that's all I knew

Also, note taking helps a lot. Do that. Like, lots of contemporaneous notes. That was definitely a mistake I made, not taking enough notes in the moment

it would be helpful if people could throw a star on this repo https://github.com/ctfg/ctfg that would be super helpful. I am trying to set up sponsorship through OpenCollective and it requires 100 stars to get approved. Any stars would be helpful 🙂
