If you serve them via your custom domain you can probably override that using zone rules, but I think images generally get purged rather frequently because they take up a large amount of space in the cache so they're higher priority of being purged compared to html/js files that are normally significantly smaller (so unless your images are getting viewed a lot, the TTL is unlikely to matter much)
