i also think the patrolling missions give reputation too just check if it is faster than hitting trades

but also be careful when you're hitting trades because the trades will affect your ability to access the auction house

No, Distrusted only gives you a tax penalty of 20%. You can still group with other players.

Is there any security-type software (antivirus etc.) that you both have in common? Are you both using the same internet service provider? I just tested tiggy and I got the "your level is too low" when trying to speak in nation, but thtat is because that toon is level 1

The other thing if you are running a VPN, try turning it off log out then back in. My bank won't let me log in if my VPN shows outside usa. Just a theory to try anyway.

Ironworks is a premium structure and those get some bonuses. I suspect advanced recipes are being removed after the last eco patch.
