I've wondered about the same thing and I have 2 suppositions: - just more convenient for developers since they don't need to create yet another account. This, of course, is only true for people that already have a GitHub account - as far as I know, most of the social login (including GitHub) providers have additional security for logins/signups that Supabase's email auth does NOT have built-in. I am talking about captchas, rate limiting (e.g. too many uses created from the same IP address in a very short time), etc - d
