I tried 'Dendron: workspace sync' but it did nothing for me. So far I am using Obsidian Git plugin to sync to my GitLab repository (Free private repos !!!). But disadvantage is that I have to start Obsidian and keep it running to sync with GitLab.com every five minutes automatically. So it should just be a some configuration issue to make workspace sync work for my repo.

I've been using dendron along with a few of my team members, and we've got an internal server set up to serve the vault pages using a simple docker setup. We noticed today that when two different people access the same page on the server, there is some state that is shared between users - for example, when user1 scrolls down the page, user2's browser will scroll to the same place. Is this... expected? Is there something I can set to prevent this?

Any reason the guide to publish to azure is marked as legacy?

Anyone else having abysmal performance since the release today? I have literally 5 notes in this workspace and it's taking 5 seconds for keypresses to be recognized

for periodic sync, we recommend gitdoc. see https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/683740e3-70ce-4a47-a1f4-1f140e80b558.html#i-want-to-push-all-my-note-to-my-git-repository-periodically

Never mind, appears to be vscode insiders sucking this morning. Standard VSCode works fine

I will leave one of the experts to reply to this, but keep in mind these are just markdown files. You can read them on mobile with any markdown reader.

Dendron itself doesn't have a mobile app, but we do have docs on editing on mobile devices: https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/SJtEnmQQYGu0bP2Kg7UbA/ There is also the #795730630771867737 channel where people talk about their workflows 🙂

People of Dendron, how do you deal with notes that need to be placed along multiple paths? e.g. cardiac disease.angina pain.thoracic.angina

I'd just insert a link to the other note in one (or both) of them - but it happens rarely for me

that would really tangle up if instead of two I had three or more locations where I need the note to be

    02/10/2022, 1:02 PM
If you need to have the same note in multiple locations, consider having the note itself in a fairly flat hierarchy (say, 2 hierarchies deep, e.g.
    ref.angina
), and then use note references (https://wiki.dendron.so/notes/f1af56bb-db27-47ae-8406-61a98de6c78c/) in
    cardiac-disease.angina
    and
    pain.thoracic.angina
    like so:
    ![[ref.angina]]
  • h

    hikchoi

    02/10/2022, 1:06 PM
    Then
    cardiac-disease.angina
    and
    pain.thoracic.angina
can both have their own context in the note, while sharing the same content of
    ref.angina
without duplicating the content of it in two places.
